What with the warm, beautiful weather, TINARS is ready to declare Spring officially here, despite persistent claims that Winter isn't over until Victoria Day. Well, the Contruction people are hanging around the neighbourhood, so that must mean that Spring is here, right? Right?
In an outdoors-but-not-really-environment-related release, we are joining forces with Psychiatric Survivors Archive for tour around the now-demolished CAMH Buildings for a Remembrance of Patients Past with Geoffrey Reaume.
At any rate, we do have some wonderful environment-related fare coming our way, and hopefully yours too! On April 29, we're teaming up with Planet in Focus International Film & Video Festival for the launch of Jeff Goodell's How to Cool the Planet.
You might remember that way back when (read: last year) we were part of Pages Books and Magazines. Well, the store may have closed, but the people are still around, and Marc Glassman, the man behind the store and this series, has reinvented Pages to be beyond bricks and mortar. Here's an excerpt that you can read in full over at our old haunt, pagesbooks.ca.
Pages beyond Bricks and Mortar will offer the same learned, friendly service that made us so noteworthy on Queen Street. Expect to see us at your favourite festivals in the months to come. We’ll be selling books at events and offering signed editions by participating authors after festivals are finished.
Pages BB&M is the official bookseller for Luminato 2010. Same staff, different events!
